Our Activities

Worship Service
Sunday Sunday 10:00am-11:30am
The Sunday service is open to all ages and includes music, Bible reading, prayer, a sermon and other elements. It usually runs for about 80 minutes and is followed by a free morning tea.

Women Together
Tuesday 7:30pm Tuesday (Fortnightly)
Women Together is a Discovery Bible Study. We meet each fortnight alternately to BOBS where together we can discover God's Word and how to apply it to our lives.

Prayer Meeting
Sunday 9:30–9:45am
The prayer meeting is a great way to start Sunday and to prepare yourself for the church service. It runs from 9:30–9:45, which still allows time to
catch-up with people before the church service commences. -
Playgroup
Friday 10-11am
Play-based activities for pre-schoolers to teach hand-eye coordination, motor skills and relational skills. Parents attend with their children.

One80 Youth Drop In
Tuesday and Thursday 3:30pm-5:30pm
One80 is the name of our drop-in centre which is open two afternoons every week. A pool table and table tennis are available plus gaming consoles such as Wii, PS3, Xbox and a Daytona machine. We also have an outdoor basketball court and sports equipment.

One80 Alive
Sunday Fortnightly during school terms 5:30pm - 7pm
A Sunday Night youth service that alternates in focus fortnightly. For one fortnight we will have a youth meeting where we gather to praise and worship and learn more about God, on the other fortnight we may watch a DVD, break into small discussion groups or just hold a social night. Mere Males
1st Wednesday of the month 10am-12noon
A monthly meeting for men that sometimes includes an outing, guest speaker or lunch. More often than not it’s just a chance to catch up over a cuppa and talk about the topic of the day. All men are welcome.

Kids Church
Sunday 10:30am
All primary school aged children are invited to attend and be a part of kids church, for lots of fun and exploration of faith, Bible stories and Jesus stuff!

Just Brass
Rehearsal: Thursday 4pm during school terms
A community brass band program open to all primary and secondary school students who would like to come and make music at The Salvation Army. No experience is necessary and students will be led by experienced instructors. For enquiries, email jonathan.woods@salvationarmy.org.au

Junior Soldiers
Alternate Fridays fortnightly during school terms 4:30–6:00pm
Junior Soldiers are young people aged 7+ who have made a decision to be a follower of Jesus and want to grow and express their faith through ministry within The Salvation Army. Our Junior Soldiers meet together to learn about: loving God, following Jesus, and how they can help and serve others.

Geelong Outreach Van
Wednesday 7pm
This mobile outreach service to the homeless community of Geelong is a valuable program. It provides vital resources, referrals and support to those doing it tough. Volunteers are welcome to help on the van.

Chat Room
Wednesday 10am-12noon
A weekly social gathering for retired women to enjoy a cuppa, a chat and some craftwork (if they wish). A relaxed morning get-together at church; all ladies are welcome.

CAMEO
1st Wednesday of the month 2:00pm
Various locations
This is a monthly morning tea event, often with a guest speaker or theme. It is held in private homes and in a different location each month. Includes a devotional time.

Brass Band
Rehearsals Thursday 7pm.
The Salvation Army's South Barwon Band provides quality sacred, classical and secular music in worship services, concert halls, festivals, aged care facilities and the open air. Each Sunday morning the band supports worship at South Barwon Corps. For further information or to

Boys Night Out
Monthly
Usually, on the first Monday of each month, this is a social event for men of any age. It can be inside (e.g. movie nights, cards, games, guest speaker) or outside (e.g. fishing campfire, beach, cinema, dinner).

BOBS Blokes only Bible Study
Tuesday Tuesday fortnightly 7:30pm
180 Francis Street, Lower Hall.
Run fortnightly, the ‘Blokes Only Bible Study’ is a time for men to meet together to engage in some Bible study and faith discussion. BOBS is an instructive and informal evening for men who want to go deeper in their faith.

BIG - Kid's Club
Fortnightly Friday during school terms 4:30-6:00pm
A Friday night children's event where primary
school aged children can participate in fun, messy, active, creative, crazy activities, games and experiences based around a theme. We love to meet together, make new friends, strengthen existing friendships and enjoy lots of fun and creativity. -
Alcoholics for Christ
Wednesday 7:30pm
A weekly support group for men or women overcoming alcoholism. Similar to AA, but with a more Christian base for its teaching and advice. Run by an experienced AOD counsellor.

50+ Social Group
Saturday afternoon monthly
This activity allows people who are 50 years or older to meet on a social basis to get to know each other and share in some fun and fellowship at an affordable cost for the activity (usually no more than $20). We have varied activities such
as: trips to local attractions, gardens, movies, meals and social days/nights. Please request a syllabus of events. -
One80 Youth
Friday 7pm
