Safeguarding team

The Salvation Army has dedicated teams for safeguarding operations, and policy and performance. These teams ensure The Salvation Army adopts child safe strategies and takes action to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing for children and young people.

Safeguarding Operations team

Our Safeguarding Operations team comprises of safeguarding consultants who provide specialist support and advice to frontline personnel regarding any concerns of risk and harm to children and young people within The Salvation Army.

Safeguarding Policy and Practice team

Our Safeguarding Policy and Practice team comprises of a group of specialists who develop tools and training to support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. This team also measures and reports on the organisation’s overall performance in this area.
