The Salvation Army’s Moneycare service offers free and confidential financial counselling to people from all walks of life. Our qualified financial counsellors provide information and support to help individuals, couples and families through a range of financial situations, from helping organise a budget to assisting with debt collectors and repayment plans.
Our financial counsellors understand that people's financial issues can become financial crises in a short amount of time, and with that comes stress and anxiety. We work to free people from their financial concern and increase resilience for the future, helping people understand how their unique financial situations and how best to manage them.
Our Moneycare staff are experts in their fields, and can provide:
- financial literacy education
- financial coaching
- financial counselling
- information on and access to the No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS)
The You’re The Boss workshop and partnering app has also been developed by our Moneycare service for workplaces to increase people’s understanding of financial matters.
