Salvos Candle Bags
How Carols in the Domain started
Robyn Hobbs, the founder of Carols in the Domain and a much-valued supporter of The Salvation Army, identified the need for an event in Sydney that brought people together at Christmas. And Carols in the Domain started.
Salvos Candle Bags
Since the first Carols in 1983, The Salvation Army has been the proud charity partner of this event, raising over $3.5 million through the sale of candles and candle bags to support Australians facing homelessness and hardship.
What began as simple candle sales evolved over the years to become our iconic candle bags, filled with festive treats and goodies for the whole family to enjoy. Each year, around 20 generous suppliers contribute items that fill thousands of Salvos Candle Bags.
Candle bags are available for pre-purchase when you buy your reserved seating tickets.
