Corporate volunteering

Thanks for your interest in corporate volunteering with The Salvation Army!
The support of your company and your willingness to roll up your sleeves will have a powerful impact on the lives of people who are marginalised, disadvantaged or experiencing a crisis.
Corporate volunteering is a great way to work together as a team for the benefit of society. It is a terrific opportunity to build cohesion among your employees; engage with Salvation Army social services staff and communities; gain new perspectives and friends; and make a difference by sharing skills, knowledge and time. We truly value the contributions of our corporate partners, who join with us to give hope where it’s needed most.

Red Shield Appeal
The Red Shield Appeal began in 1965 and is promoted under our most recognisable symbol – the red shield. Each year, The Salvation Army appeals to the Australian community for donations to ensure we can give hope where it is needed most through our social welfare and community service programs.
The Red Shield Appeal is run over the months of April, May and June each year with this year’s Red Shield Doorknock taking place on 25-26 May.
Salvos Stores sell donated items to help fund The Salvation Army’s vast network of social programs around the country. This includes providing shelter for the homeless, assisting families in crisis through practical support and financial counselling and guiding people with addictions through to a clean and healthy lifestyle.
