The Salvation Army Brings the Church and Community Together at Elder Park
On Saturday 1 November 2008, The Salvation Army brought everyone together at Elder Park for a fun afternoon! Together we celebrated the motivation behind the Salvos tireless efforts and as part of our annual One Mission Conference. The free community carnival included a Gospel Concert against the picturesque backdrop of the Torrens River at Elder Park in Adelaide.. As part of the carnival, at The Salvation Army hosted performer Roy Maloy who smashed the current world record in stilt walking height. Roy Maloy who holds the title for the tallest stilts ever walked on in Australian history at 15 feet now broke the world record for tallest stilts ever walked on in human history at a whopping 57 feet (17,250 mtrs).
