HEALTHLINK Allied Health Services for the older person

HEALTHLINK offers allied health services to older people living in the community.

HEALTHLINK allied health services are available to individuals or groups and are focussed on the recovery or improving capability to manage everyday tasks and enhance overall wellbeing, to recover or maintain a level of independence that will support capacity to remain at home, and within the community.

  • Relaxation Therapy
  • Walking for Fitness Group

Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Remedial Massage Therapy, Strength & Balance Groups (including Tai Chi) are therapies that provide fitness and restorative exercise and support to improve mobility, strength and balance or to assist recovery, or maintain physical ability.  

Our group sessions are also ideal social opportunities to not only improve health and wellbeing but to also enjoy meeting new people, or sharing therapy with friends.

Information sessions are held periodically.  These cover a variety of health and community service topics for older persons. 


  • Older persons 65 years and over, or persons who are over 50 years and identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
  • If you would benefit from our services to assist you to improve or maintain your independence and mobility.
  • If you think the therapy services will help you to remain in your current living situation for as long as possible. 


Yes. Clients who wish to access the services of HEALTHLINK are required to be registered with & referred by My Aged Care

While it is not necessary, to support us to provide you with the highest possible care and attention we value your bringing a referral when you visit us for the first time.   You can ask your doctor to provide you with a referral, or we can do this on your behalf when you have your first appointment with us. 

The first visit will be a double appointment and will include a comprehensive assessment for $30.00 (physiotherapy, or $25 podiatry).  Subsequent visits will cost between $7 and $20 depending on the service . 

The services provided by HEALTHLINK Allied Health Services are subsidised by the Australian Government for eligible attendees.  All clients using government funded therapy and services are encouraged to contribute to the subsidised cost.  However, if you feel you are unable to contribute to the cost please speak with our Administration Assistant for a Financial Assessment.
