As Christmas approaches, the housing and cost-of-living crisis continues to push more families like Amy’s to the edge than we’ve seen in years.

For Amy and her family, finding affordable housing was impossible. They were forced to move between motel rooms and friends’ places – anywhere they could find a spot to sleep.

Amy shared how she was barely hanging on…

“I didn’t know where to go, what to do. I felt like I just completely failed as a mum. If you don’t have a roof over your children’s head, you don’t have stability. I was living week to week.”

Through kind Salvos support like yours, Amy found hope. Hope that she could build a better life for her and her family, and hope that Christmas could still be special, even in the hardest times.

Thousands more families across Australia face the same uncertainty. Many don’t know how they’ll put food on the table, or where they’ll be living next month – some are forced to sleep in garages, cars or tents.

You can be the hope they need. Your donation can help bring Christmas joy to children who have so little, provide emergency relief to a family in immediate crisis, or to help a family find the stability of a permanent home.

Please give as generously as you can and be the hope families like Amy’s are desperately praying for.
