Kerry's Story - Manly New Life Community Centre

Captain Louanne Mitchell is the team leader at Manly New Life Community Church & Centre. Commonly a holiday destination, Captain Louanne says there are hurting people in the Manly community, struggling with financial issues and addiction. The centre is open 5 days a week, offering breakfast and lunch for those who would otherwise go without. They also provide emergency financial assistance, and bathroom facilities for homeless people. Kerry, who attended the Manly New Life Centre, came from a past of addiction, but after completing The Salvation Army's bridge program, he found his life was transformed. Kerry would come to the centre for a meal and a listening ear, and today attends the church on a Sunday.
