The Salvation Army COVID-19 News and Updates
As the COVID-19 emergency continues to grip the country, it is affecting individuals and families in ways never imagined possible. Thousands losing their jobs and facing potential eviction; elderly people confined to their homes without much support; and those already experiencing hardship faced with the prospect of worsening conditions.
In light of this pandemic, The Salvation Army is working hard to continue providing essential assistance and services to communities across Australia. We've had to adapt some of our services based on government directives and for the safety of our community; we're now providing take-away instead of sit-down meals, and using phone and video calls, rather than always meeting face-to-face.
Ultimately, our aim is to continue to serve our community, especially as hardship escalates.
