Senior Case Coordinator
The Open Door and Flagstaff
Full time 16 months contracted position
Flagstaff and The Open Door residential facilities are part of the Adult Services Network of The Salvation Army and operate 24 hours/day, 7 days per week. The two sites provide 102 beds in total for men experiencing homelessness who have high needs, complexity or vulnerability.
The Senior Case Coordinator is a new position created as part of our re-designed service model and will operate across the two sites.
The role is that of a specialist case coordinator working with all Homeless services Team Leaders to assist with collaboration and case planning where required of outreach and residential clients being accommodated at Flagstaff and The Open Door. The role provides practice wisdom authority and expert advice and assistance to the casework teams and community coordinators, fostering capacity building within the service. The role also provides management and coordination of allocation and prioritisation processes of clients working in collaboration with Team leaders, Community Coordinators and the Residential Manager.
Hours of work
- Monday to Friday 38hrs a week
- Access to a monthly RDO
- The position will be remunerated at the SCHCADS Award, Social Stream level 6.3 plus

A tertiary degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related field is preferred and substantial experience. A minimum of 5 years case management experience in a social service environment, including leadership experience is desirable.

A strong framework of development such as performance plans and reviews, supervision, team meetings, internal and external training opportunities and a study leave policy are provided.
