About their Support
Woolworths have been proudly supporting The Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Network since 1993 at Woolworths Carols in the Domain in Sydney; a partnership of great significance and longevity.
Every year, Woolworths donate 10,000 recyclable green bags, resources and money into supporting the initiative. Over 400,000 items ranging from magazines, bake ware, biscuits, lollies and tinned goods are all donated to Oasis and packed into the Candle Bags in a Woolworths warehouse by teams of corporate volunteers.
The Candle Bags are transported by Woolworths and sold on ground at the Domain for $15 each with all proceeds going directly to Oasis Accommodation Services. For many years, Woolworths employees have stood beside Oasis volunteers to sell the Candle Bags from early in the morning to late in the evening.
