Military Christian Fellowship hosted the Defence Chaplains and Military Ministries Information Evening held at the Sydney Missionary Bible College on 19 May 2017. The aim of the evening was to provide an insight into defence chaplaincy and military ministry for students at the college who may be considering becoming a Military Chaplain or becoming involved in military ministry.
Attending the evening were chaplains from the Army, Navy and Air Force who spoke about their experiences as defence chaplains in the ADF. Also attending were military ministries such as Everyman’s Welfare Service, The Australian Navigators, Solid Rock Ministries and Red Shield Defence Services. Each ministry gave a three minute talk about what their ministries do within defence. All ministries had information booths with flyers and other information to hand out to the students. Attending on behalf of RSDS was Jason Lilley from Holsworthy Barracks. Many students from the college attended the evening and were very interested in military ministry.
