PROJECT NOACK - NATIONAL MILITARY VEHICLE MUSEUM ADELAIDE

14 March 2017

RSDS Senior Representative, Major Sue May, was contacted late last year by the National Military Vehicle Museum. A Vietnam era Land Rover has been donated to the museum. The museum has asked if The Salvation Army would be interested in assisting in restoring the vehicle to become a working Sallyman vehicle as used in Vietnam. The donor of the vehicle was so impressed with the work that The Salvation Army did in Vietnam that he wanted to have a permanent reminder in the museum.

Unfortunately, the donor has recently passed away but the vehicle and his vision lives on at the museum with its dedicated volunteers.

We would like to extend our thanks to all the volunteers involved with this project as well as the financial support provided by Defence Bank. Volunteers to date have included museum volunteers and students from Bowden Brompton Community School. This project would not be happening without your help and dedication.
