Youth and Young Adults
Join us this coming Friday night 16 June for a GIANT GAMES night! We'll be playing life-size Mario Kart, Hungry Hippos and a variety of other fun giant games. All Youth and Young Adults are welcome to join form 7pm-9pm.

Bands in the RoundAll are invited to join Parramatta Band at Bands in the Round in Maitland on 17 June. Tickets are $10 and your ticket will be your voucher for the light dinner. Everyone, audience and musicians, should purchase their ticket online from Trybooking rather than at the venue on the day. This will assist with catering for the dinner. https://www.trybooking.com/CIDCV Funds raised from our event in Maitland will go towards music ministries in the Kenya East Territory.

The Sanctuary Course is Back!How can a church become a sanctuary—a place where individuals living with mental health challenges feel safe, supported, and a sense of belonging? The Sanctuary Course was created to inspire and equip communities of faith that are asking this important question. Developed in consultation with mental health professionals, theologians, and people with lived experience, this eight-session study guide explores key mental health topics and examines meaningful ways to offer companionship, support recovery, and promote wellbeing. The Sanctuary Course is for anyone who wants to learn about faith and mental health. It requires no previous training or expertise—just a willingness to engage in dialogue with other believers. This course and films address difficult and sensitive topics, and may not be appropriate for a young audience. It is not recommended for people ages 17 and younger. This course will take place at Parramatta Salvos (426 Church Street, Parramatta) from 19 July-6 September on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm. Corps Retreat 2023We will be joining together at the Tops Conference Centre from Friday night 30 June to Sunday 2 July under the leadership of Lt. Cols. David and Sandra Godkin. All are welcome to attend as full delegates or day delegates (prices listed in registration link below). We don't want the cost to be a barrier for anyone, so please let us know if you would like to receive sponsorship. To make the camp more affordable for families, under 18s will be able to attend at a discounted rate (50% less for full delegates). We would also ask that if you are able, you consider giving a little extra to sponsor another delegate. The weekend will be a mix of sessions (worship, prayer, teaching), fun activities (theme night, board games, walks and coffee) and time to hang out and relax. Volunteer Appreciation Lunch
On Wednesday this week, we celebrated our Market Day volunteers at Parramatta Salvos. Thushy, our Community Engagement Worker, partnered with Nando's, who provided an amazing meal for our volunteers. Did you know that we have up to 20 volunteers involved in Market Day each week, participating in market set up, food pick ups, operating the market, cooking in the cafe, and making coffee? Each week we are seeing between 80-100 families through our market, and this week alone we gave out 60 bacon and egg rolls and 70 free coffees! Thanks to all out volunteers, and to Thushy for his amazing work in this space!
