Hi Parramatta Salvos,

This Sunday we continue our new sermon series, 'Jesus and Justice'. Over the next 3 weeks, we will continue to unpack the biblical meaning of justice through the example of Jesus. Join us as we learn about how he included the excluded, challenged cultural practices, confronted the powerful and advocated for the oppressed.

We hope to see you this Sunday at 9:30am or 11am at Parramatta Salvos!

Corps Retreat 2023
We will be joining together at the Tops Conference Centre from Friday night 30 June to Sunday 2 July under the leadership of Lt. Cols. David and Sandra Godkin. All are welcome to attend as full delegates or day delegates (prices listed in registration link below).

We don't want the cost to be a barrier for anyone, so please let us know if you would like to receive sponsorship. To make the camp more affordable for families, under 18s will be able to attend at a discounted rate (50% less for full delegates).

We would also ask that if you are able, you consider giving a little extra to sponsor another delegate.

The weekend will be a mix of sessions (worship, prayer, teaching), fun activities (theme night, board games, walks and coffee) and time to hang out and relax.

We need registrations ASAP, so please follow this link to register: https://forms.office.com/r/xiTWnxV99n
Please note that no payment is required upon registrations - we just really need to know numbers! Also, paper registrations forms are now available in the foyer. Please place them in the 'letterbox' in the foyer.

Thank you - Kids Church and Junior Soldiers
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge James Lloyd and Sophie Browning for their service to Children’s Ministry, specifically Junior Soldiers / Kids Church, as they have both decided to step down from this ministry.
Sophie joined the team in early 2017 and her expertise and talents always had the children engaged in the lesson, and it was always interesting to see what craft or activity she had them doing. Thank You Sophie for your service and ministry to our young people in this way.
James has been a part of Junior Soldiers / Kids Church for 21 years, with 15 of them as Junior Soldier Sergeant.
From “sleep-overs” down the at the Hall, making fun videos for Junior Soldier Sunday, and just fun and creative lessons on a Sunday, James’ passion for the children and the things he was teaching was always the driving force behind his service and commitment.
He can even recite the Junior Soldier Promise - well the old one at least.
James, you have been a blessing to the children of our Corps for such long time and have made an impact on each of their lives.
Your leadership has been valued and appreciated by those who have served with you.
Thank You James.
ANZAC Day
At 4.30am on Tuesday our brass band participated in the Parramatta Anzac Day Service at Prince Alfred Square. The band did an excellent job accompanying hymns, the Australian and New Zealand National anthems, playing for the wreath laying ceremony, as well as a prelude. Thank you to the band for representing The Salvation Army so well and for honouring our service men and women in this way.
We are also grateful to Major David Collinson, Brenton Parker, Andrew Keast and Graham Lang who marched in the CBD march with the combined Salvation Army band.
Children's Ministry Activities
This Sunday 30 April, Mini God Squad and Kids Church will resume for Term 2. We hope that all the kids and teachers have had a fun and restful school holiday break, and we pray for them as they commence this next term.
May Prayer Room
You are invited to read and use these prayer resources in your quiet time. Click here to access the May prayer room.
