Hi Parramatta Salvos,

This Sunday we are being led by our Youth & Young Adults in our 9:30am and 11am services! Our young people will be sharing about their experiences from Equip Youth Camp, or Equip Kids Camp from the perspective of both campers and leaders. We can't wait to hear about what God is doing in their lives, and we are looking forward to hearing Zoe Entwistle preaching the word.

Please join us this Sunday and support our youth and young adults!

Christmas Collecting
Thank you to everyone who helped collect at Winston Hills Mall this week! We will also be collecting at Carlingford Court from 28/11 - 3/12 from 10am-4pm. Please let us know if you can help by collecting during one of the time slots listed below.
Gift Card Offering
Each year, we help hundreds people through our Christmas Cheer project. We get plenty of toys and food donated from the community, but the age group we always struggle with are teenagers. For the past few years, we have contributed over $4000 worth of gift cards from our church community and we would love to do this again in 2022. We will be taking up a gift card offering at our Christmas Carols event on Sunday 11 December at 6pm. We ask that you contribute gift cards of between $30-$50 that are appropriate for teenagers. Some examples include the Ultimate Kids or Teen Gift Cards, JB HiFi, Cotton On, EB Games or Rebel Sport. Please come prepared to give on Sunday 11 December, or drop your donations to the corps office any time.
Corps Retreat 2023 - Save the Date!
We very excited to announce that next year, we will be holding a Corps Retreat at The Tops Conference Centre from 30 June-2 July. This retreat is for all ages, with the opportunity to stay for the weekend, or join as a 'day delegate'. Costs, special guests and details to come - we invite you to mark your calendars and plan to be there!
Leave
This weekend, Mj. Kylie will be away in Melbourne attending the enrolment of her niece as a Sr Soldier. We hope you have a great time away, Kylie!

Worship Night
Last Sunday, 85 people from across Sydney gathered for our Youth & Young Adults Worship Night. We heard a fantastic message from Lt. Keven Williams, and were supported by a regional worship team.
Kmart Wishing Tree Launch
On Tuesday, we celebrated the launch of the Kmart Wishing Tree in Parramatta. Kmart has been supporting the Salvos at Christmas time for 35 years! This year we are partnering with Kmart Parramatta and North Rocks, and we are grateful for their work with us and the community.
Jayne Combremont
As many are aware, Jayne finishes her studies at Hillsong College in the coming weeks and will soon graduate with a degree! Jayne's visa as a student will expire in March 2023, and Jayne will be returning home to Switzerland before moving to London to study a Masters. We weren't sure if this should be included in the 'stories worth celebrating' section of the newsletter, because we are sad to see Jayne go. However, we are grateful for all Jayne has contributed to our church community and we are proud of her achievements! We hope you will join us in supporting and praying for Jayne as she takes this next step in her adventure. Jayne will continue to worship with us and work for the corps until early March 2023.
