Hi Parramatta Salvos, 

This Sunday is our final week looking at our series titled 'Celebration of Discipline', based on Richard Foster's modern classic. The book explores the 'classic disciplines' of Christian faith, and this week we focus on the corporate disciplines of Confession, Worship, Guidance & Celebration.

Ladies Fellowship
Ladies Fellowship meets each week at 10am for morning tea and 10:30am for fellowship. This week at fellowship we will hear from Mj. Ken Sanz on the topic of 'books'. 

Worship Night
Youth & Young Adults Worship night at Parramatta is on this Sunday 13 November at 5:30pm. We will be joined by special guest preacher Lt. Keven Williams who is the corps officer at Eastern Beaches Salvos. We enoucrage everyone to come along to support out youth and young adults at our last Worship Night for 2022! There will be 'stuffed potatoes' for supper following the service. 

Flourish
Time is running out to register for our next Flourish event! All women and children (under 18) are welcome join our Gingerbread House Decorating Party. Saturday 3 December from 3pm-5pm at Parramatta Salvos. 
Cost:
$40 for afternoon tea and a gingerbread house kit (20cm high x 15cm deep)
$10 afternoon tea only

Christmas Collecting
We have the opportunity to collect at both Winston Hills Mall and Carlingford Court in the lead up to Christmas. We begin collecting this coming week, so we ask that you take a look at the rosters and consider collecting during one of the available times. We will be collecting at Winston Hills Mall from 14/11 - 20/11 from 10am-4pm, and at Carlingford Court from 28/11 - 3/12 from 10am-4pm. 

Corps Retreat 2023 - Save the Date!
We very excited to announce that next year, we will be holding a Corps Retreat at The Tops Conference Centre from 30 June-2 July. This retreat is for all ages, with the opportunity to stay for the weekend, or join as a 'day delegate'. Costs, special guests and details to come - we invite you to mark your calendars and plan to be there!

Community Picnic
Over 50 people gathered last Saturday at Lake Parramatta for our community picnic. We had a fabulous afternoon chatting, sharing lunch and playing games. Make sure you put our community events for 2023 in your diary - Saturday 25 February, Saturday 1 July (part of corps retreat) Saturday 26 August, Saturday 11 November. 

Salvos Multicultural Gala
Last Friday, Sarah & Kylie, along with other TSA Officers and Employees, had the opportunity to attend the Salvos Multicultural Gala for 2022. It was a colourful night of celebration, where individuals and other non-for-profits were acknowledged for their contribution to diversity, inclusion and the community in Western Sydney. We love being part of a multicultural and vibrant community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to engage with businesses and community leaders in this area.
