Parramatters - 14th October 2022

Hi Parramatta Salvos, 

This Sunday, Kylie and Sarah, along with 20 women from Parramatta Salvos, are headed to the SHE Weekend (Divisional Women's Weekend) at Collaroy. This week, our 9:30am service will be led by Gavin and out 11am service will be led by David. Clayton will be preaching at both!

A huge thank you to these gentlemen for their willingness to lead our meetings this week!

Combined Youth and Young Adults Night!
All youth (year 6 and older) and young adults are invited to join us at Shire Salvos this coming Friday, 21 October, for a combined event!

We will be taking a bus from Parramatta Salvos to Menai - leaving Parramatta at 5:45pm. If you want to join us on the bus, please email us our let Sarah know ASAP!

Ladies Fellowship
Ladies Fellowship meets each week at 10am for morning tea and 10:30am for fellowship. All women are welcome to join!

Tech Team Training
You’re invited to join the Tech Team Training & Lunch on Sunday 23^rd October at 12.30pm. If you’re interested in joining the tech team, this is a great opportunity to get some hands on experience. Existing team members will have the chance to brush up on skills and technique. Around 20% of our Sunday morning congregation joins us for worship online, so we’ll be focusing on Cameras & Video Directing. Please RSVP to Anthony Eden by Sunday 16^th October.

Wills Day 2023
Registration is now open for the Parramatta Wills Day 2023 and anyone from the community can register by logging onto the website (www.salvos.org.au/willsday) and booking their preferred slot or contacting the office on 1800 337 082. 

Preaching series resouces
On 30^th October we will be commencing a new preaching series titled 'Celebration of Discipline'. This is series is based on Richard Foster's book of the same title.  
We often get requests for the books that we use, so we have purchased some copies of this book and of a book written by Foster's son, Nathan - 'The Making of an Ordinary Saint' (My journey from frustration to joy with the spiritual disciplines).

If you would like to purchase either of these books please email the office or speak with Sarah or Kylie. The cost per book is $20.

SHE Weekend
Please pray for all the women joining together across NSW/ACT Division this weekend for the SHE Weekend. We hope the weekend is a fantastic time of fellowship and learning together!
