Hi Parramatta Salvos,

This Sunday we conclude our series in the book of Proverbs, looking at what it means to 'Trust God in Everything'.

Next weekend, Kylie and Sarah, along with 20 women from Parramatta Salvos, are headed to the SHE Weekend (Divisional Women's Weekend) at Collaroy. Church will continue as normal with our 9:30am service led by Gavin, the 11am service led by David and Clayton preaching at both! Thanks to these gentlemen for their willingness to lead our meetings next week!

We can't wait to worship with you this Sunday!

Kylie & Sarah

Tech Team Training
You’re invited to join the Tech Team Training & Lunch on Sunday 23rd October at 12.30pm. If you’re interested in joining the tech team, this is a great opportunity to get some hands on experience. Existing team members will have the chance to brush up on skills and technique. Around 20% of our Sunday morning congregation joins us for worship online, so we’ll be focusing on Cameras & Video Directing. Please RSVP to Anthony Eden by Sunday 16th October.
Kids church
A reminder that there will be no Kids Church or Mini God Squad this week - we will resume on Sunday 16 October!

Homework Club
We are excited that a new Homework Group will be commencing at Parramatta Salvos this coming Wednesday 12th October at 4.30pm! All students welcome to attend!

We are in need of volunteers to help in this space, both working with children and young people, as well as serving in the cafe that will be open to parents and caregivers. If you are interested in volunteering or for more information, please contact our Community Connection Worker, Thushy at thushy.kailanathan@salvationarmy.org.au
Equip
We had a fantastic time at Equip Camp last week learning more about Jesus and hanging out with young people across NSW/ACT. This Sunday in our 9:30am service, we will hear from some of our campers. On Sunday 20 November our young people will be leading the 9:30am and 11am services and sharing about Equip. Mark the date in your diary and plan to be at Parramatta Salvos to support our youth and young adults!
Wednesday Market Day
Over the past few weeks we have been able to see and help between 50 and 60 families each Wednesday on Market Day. Thanks to our volunteers and staff who have been operating the Market Place in the function hall and also making coffee and food in the cafe. It's been amazing to connect with so many people in our community over the past couple of weeks. If you want to see how the Market Day works, feel free to drop in between 9:30am and 11:30am (busiest times) on Wednesday and have a coffee and a chat!
Tennis Group
From Barbara Browning
"For the past 45 years 30 ladies associated with our church have been involved in the Wednesday morning tennis group. Bell Loughhead commenced this all those years ago at Wentworthville.
For many of those 45 years we met at the home of Paul and Val Lucas where we enjoyed playing tennis, morning coffee and best of all the support of being with one another. This home was a tranquil peaceful environment which became so much more to each one of us than just a place to play tennis.
Many of the ladies brought along their grandchildren for a lot of those years and we have counted 51 grandchildren that came.
And now we have become a coffee club. This is not because we are not fit enough to play it’s just that we prefer chatting and enjoying coffee together."
Aaron
Please pray for Aaron, Keri Groenstein's grandson, who is having surgery on 12/20 and is only 6 months old. Please pray for the surgery, for Aaron's family and for Keri at this time.
