Parramatters - 18th February 2022

Hi everyone!

We hope you can join us for church this week as we launch our vision for 2022!
This week we will be gathering for worship at 9:30am and 11am, with morning tea from 10:15-11:15am. Our Easy English Congregation will also resume this week at 9:30am. 

As we launch our theme and vision for the year, we will also be giving everyone the opportunity to express interest in serving at Parramatta Salvos in all kinds of different ways. For those who can't be there on Sunday, we'll be sharing these opportunities via email next week, so we would encourage everyone to prayerfully consider how you can be more involved in connecting and serving our community in Parramatta.

Leading a Large Corps Conference
This coming Monday and Tuesday, Kylie and Sarah will be in the city for The Salvation Army's 'Leading a Large Corps Conference.' We will both be contactable via email and mobile, and will attempt to answer anything urgent outside of the conference hours. 

Planned Giving Envelopes
Those who are involved in our Planned Giving Program and use envelopes will realise their supply will finish on the last Sunday in March.  As we are having a renewal Sunday in March and are hoping to get more people in our Corps involved in the program, we have decided to allocate new giving numbers as from the 3/4/22. 

There has been a number of people who have switched to doing bank transfers recently, which is great. However, so that we can order sufficient sets of envelopes, we would appreciate it if you could let Margaret Robinson know ASAP if you would like a set of envelopes for the new program. Youth & YA Worship Night
Our first Youth & YA Worship night is coming up on Sunday 27 February at 5:30pm. We will be joined by special guest Mj. Bill Geracia from Norwest Salvos. All are welcome to attend and support our youth & young adults!

SAES Trainiing
There is training available for people interested in joining the Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) volunteer team or for current members wanting to refresh or renew their volunteer accreditation. This will take place on Saturday 12 March 9:30am-3:30pm at Rouse Hill Corps. Click here to for more information and to register.

Our Corps Calendar for 2022 is now live! This calendar will be updated regularly and always available online. The link will be in Parramatters each week, or you might consider saving it to your 'favourites' in your internet browser and checking it regularly. 

Surgery
We are pleased to let you know that Astrida from our Ladies Fellowship group had successful surgery last week. The road towards recovery will take some time, so we ask for continued prayer for Astrida.

Education System
Let's continue to pray for our students, teachers and education staff as they face this difficult season of being back to face-to-face learning with so much Covid-19 still in the community. Pray for those isolating, those who are unwell, and for a renewed sense of energy for our teachers.
