We're excited to begin our new series this week - The Good Work - focusing on the book of Nehemiah.

Nehemiah 2:18 (NLT) says, “So they began the good work.” We'll learn over the series what this good work was for Nehemiah, but each one of us has a good work to do. We may not see it yet, but it’s often right there in front of our eyes. For Nehemiah, it was a crumbled wall. For you, it could be an injustice in the world, or a need you see that no one else does. During this series, we are going to see how Nehemiah responded to his own calling and learn how we can change our world just by leaning into the unique calling that God has put in front of each of us.

To go along with this series we have a devotional booklet that you can follow along with in your quiet time, and we've also included some "talk-it-over" sheets that correspond to each message in this four week series. We encourage you to gather with your family or a group of friends on a Sunday, watch the online service together and spend time reflecting on these questions.

Bless you each as you continue to love and serve,

Kylie & Sarah

Return to the Office
We are slowly returning staff to our office under Government and Salvation Army guidelines. Our office staff will return over the next month, but also have the option of doing some work from home. While our phones will start to be answered from next week Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm, it is important to note that our office and building is not open to the community. This is the only way we feel it is safe for staff to return at present. If you need to contact the office, please call. If there is an important reason for visiting the office, you must make an appointment first, as staff may not be available and the building will not be open outside of the office space. We thank you for your understanding in this as we attempt the transition of our staff back to the office. We will continue to keep you updated as things progress with the plan for the reopening of the building and connect site.
New Employee at Parramatta Salvos!
This week we welcome Sarah Taufaao to the team at Parramatta Salvos. Sarah is our new Community Connection Worker and we are excited to have Sarah with us. Here's a little bit about Sarah Taufaao.

"Hi everyone! I'm Sarah and I am one blessed lady to join the Salvos team here in Parramatta as a Community Connection Worker. I come from a background in Youth work, Disability support and Mental health. For a number of years, I was a part of a beautiful team of women that volunteered with the Salvos doing Cupcake Ministry. I have enormous respect and admiration for The Salvation Army and the way they truly reflect the heart of Jesus. I can't wait to meet you all and see what God has planned for our community in this space. I hope to make Him proud!"
Harrison Family
We shared a beautiful morning celebrating Denise's life on Tuesday, and we continue join together in prayer for Brian and his family this week.
Keri Groenestein
Please pray for Keri and her son Wesley and Daughter-in-Law Jasmine who is 5 months pregnant. It has been discovered that the baby has two holes in the heart and an extra artery in the neck. The baby will need to have surgery, either before it is born or after birth. Let's pray for the medical staff, the family and of course for healing and protection for the baby.
Praying through our Corps Directory
Each week we pray for people with surnames beginning with 3 letters of the alphabet. This week we pray for surnames R-T and we invite you to be praying for these people in your quiet time this week.
