As most of you would be aware by now, lockdown has been extended once again which means that there will be no in-person gathering Sunday July 18 or July 25. This week, look forward to joining with you online as we finish our 'Living Our Mission' Series, this week focusing on 'working for justice'.

After advice from our divisional and national leaders, we have made the difficult decision to close our Connect Site due to the COVID-19 situation in Greater Sydney. While our site will remain closed, community members can still call the Salvo Assessment Line on 1300 371 288 and assistance will be posted directly to them. We will reopen once again as soon as it is safe enough to do so.

As all staff at Parramatta Salvos are now working from home, the office phone will not be answered. If you need to get in touch, please email us or call the Officer Team using our mobile numbers (found in the corps directory).

Prayer Meeting
As lockdown continues, we would like to invite you to attend a Zoom Prayer Meeting each Wednesday night from 7pm-8pm led by our Officer Team. Everyone is invited to join, reflect and pray together. There will be no obligation to pray aloud if you don't feel comfortable, you are very welcome to join and simply reflect over the material and connect with one another.

Youth & Young Adults Worship Night
A Youth & Young Adults Worship Night was scheduled for August 1, however, due to the current restrictions, the team has decided to pre-record this service as we are unsure if restrictions will have eased by that day. The service will be available on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel from 5:30pm on Sunday August 1, and we invite everyone to enjoy worship and teaching from our Worship Night Team and special guest Mj. John Viles. 
 
Furlough
Lt. Sarah will be on furlough this week from 19-25 July. Please get in touch with Mj. Kylie if you need anything over this time. 
New Job Opportunity at Parramatta Salvos
We are so excited to let you know about a new job opportunity at Parramatta Salvos! 

Through Red Shield Initiative funding in the Western Sydney area, we have a new position available on our team at Parramatta Salvos. We will be employing a Community Connection Worker to focus on meeting community needs. The person in this role will work to develop and provide equitable and efficient community activities and programs. The employee will report to our Officer Team and work at Parramatta Corps. This is a full time position, 38 hours per week, fixed term for 2 years.

COVID Situation
Please continue to pray for people who are suffering due to the latest outbreak. Pray for frontline workers, especially those who are caring for COVID patients. We pray for those who feel isolated at this time, that they may feel comforted and supported during the lockdown period. 
Community Connection Worker
Please pray for the right person to fill our new role at Parramatta Salvos. We are hoping that God will provide someone who fits into our team well and has the skills needed to connect with our community here in Parramatta.
