This Sunday - Self Denial Altar Services

Each Sunday over the last few weeks we have seen stories from around the world highlighting the international work of The Salvation Army. These stories have been both inspirational and challenging as we have seen people’s lives being transformed in many different ways.

All over the world, Salvation Army people and programs go beyond physical and cultural boundaries to help transform lives. They venture into communities to reach the disadvantaged and vulnerable and do all they can to lift people up.

This Sunday, 21 March, we are holding our Altar Service for the Self Denial Appeal. We ask you to continue to prayerfully consider your sacrificial gift to the Self Denial Appeal as we work towards our goal of $35, 000 from Parramatta Salvos.

If you have not received an envelope yet, please pick one up from our information table before our Sunday services. If you cannot attend in person, you can donate online at www.selfdenial.info/au/ Please ensure that you select "Parramatta" from the "Corps/Centre drop down menu in the "Your Details" section.
Easter at Parramatta Salvos
Next Sunday we begin our Easter Series for 2021 - "JESUS" with a celebration of Palm Sunday. We invite you to join us on Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday at our 9:30am or 11am services. We would love to see each service filled with friends, family and new faces! We encourage you to take some of our Easter postcards and hand them out to neighbours, colleagues, friends and family and invite them to attend with you. Postcards are located on the information table in the foyer.
Palm Sunday
If you have a palm tree at your house or work place and can donate some palm leaves, please contact Kylie this week at kylie.collinson@salvationarmy.org.au

Salvos Connect Site - New Hours
In order to better meet the needs of our community members, we have updated the opening days and hours of our Salvos Connect Site. Our site will now be opened:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am-1pm

Thanks to our fantastic team of volunteers who started this week! It's been great to see the café open and people connecting. If you are able to volunteer during the week on any of these days, please contact Sarah at: sarah.walker@salvationarmy.org.au
Car Park - Events Team
As events at Bankwest Stadium ramp up, our team has begun collecting on our car park for special events. This is a fantastic way for us to fundraise, and also for people to "see" where The Salvos are located in Parramatta. Parking is $12 and Eftpos is available. You can help us by spreading the word and encouraging people to park with us! A big thank you to Richard and the team who have been manning the car park for these events. If you would like to help out by collecting money and directing traffic for events, please contact Richard at: richard.eden@edenhartley.net
Band at Constitution Hill
Please pray for Major Kylie, our Brass Band and our Timbrels as they support the monthly afternoon Christian gathering at Constitution Hill Retirement Community on Sunday 28 March.
