Sunday Series - "How to Neighbour" 

This week is our final week exploring our series, "How to Neighbour" as Kylie explores what it looks like for us to love the lonely. We hope that you'll join us next Sunday for our Self Denial Altar Service - Transform a Life, Transform the future. Please remember to collect your giving envelope and letter following our services this week. We hope that you continue prayerfully considering your contribution to the appeal this year as we work towards our goal of $35,000. 
Eyes High Divisional Event (Online)
Everyone is invited to join the NSW/ACT Division online via https://www.facebook.com/ASKNSWACT for the next 'Eyes High Event' this Sunday 14 March. The event will be live from 10am, so we encourage you to watch following our morning services here at Parramatta Salvos. 

This special event is a worship service and teaching with the amazing Col. Janet Munn sharing the Word. There will also be a special additional link for children.
Somewhere for Us - Territorial Youth Event
All youth & young adults are invited to attend the first territorial youth event for 2021 this coming Saturday 20 March. We are excited because the event is being hosted HERE at Parramatta Salvos. 

6pm - Hang Out
7pm - Main Event with Special Guests (band) VERSES and messages from Adam Purcell, Territorial Youth Secretary. 

Registrations for this event are essential - please let Jayne know by this Sunday 14 March if you are coming!
Wills Day
Parramatta Salvos will be hosting a 'Wills Day' to both assist our community and raise money on Wednesday 4 August, 2021. Solicitors assist the community by donating their time to help people prepare a simple Will. The cost for a Will is $70 per person / $120 for a couple plus an online booking fee of $0.50. We encourage you to register if you would like your Will completed or updated.

Palm Sunday
We begin our Easter Series for 2021 on Sunday 28 March with our celebration of Palm Sunday. If you have a palm tree at your house or work place and can donate some palm leaves, please contact Kylie this week at kylie.collinson@salvationarmy.org.au
Adam and The World's Greatest Shave
Congratulations to Adam Bust who is taking part in the World's Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation this Friday. Adam has raised well over his goal of $560! Well done, Adam. We are proud of you! If you would still like to contribute to Adam's fundraising efforts, please get in touch with Adam this week. 
Youth and Young Adults Worship Night
Last Sunday night we had had over 60 young people gather at Parramatta Salvos for our worship night. It was fantastic to see young people from many different corps gathered and working together. Lt. Col. Miriam Gluyas shared a great word, and Ryan shared a great message through his testimony. Thanks to Jayne and her team for putting the night together. We'd invite you to save the date for our next worship night on Sunday 2 May at 5:30pm. 
Equip Kids Leadership Camp
Last weekend, Jemma Battersby was invited to a new camp for children in years 5-6 focusing on leadership development. The Campers learnt that to be a good leader they must: trust God, work in a team, be teachable and be a servant like Jesus modelled to us. Jemma got to meet new friends from corps across NSW, and had a great time over the weekend learning more about Jesus and leadership! 
Self Denial Appeal
We encourage you to prayerfully consider your contribution to our Self Denial Appeal this year. Our Altar Service will take place in two weeks time on Sunday 21 March. We encourage you to keep reading the devotional material that supports this years appeal and look forward to sharing with you in our Altar Service next Sunday.
