Favourite Band Piece / Composer:  The Lord is King – Ray Steadman-Allen

This suite is based on the Welsh hymn tune 'Llangollen' to which the hymn 'The Lord is King, I own His power' are associated. The three movements derive inspiration from the lines 'My joy, my toil, my craftman's skill, all have their place, and serve His will' found in verse five of the hymn.

Interests:  gardening, genealogy, song-writing and musical composition

Favourite Bible Verse:  "Christ in you, the hope of glory" - Colossians 1: 27

Life Influences:  Grew up in a musical Salvationist family and studied violin from the age of 7.

Entered Melbourne S.A. Training College in 1964. Served forty years as an Officer in varied appointments, mainly corps, but also at IHQ Music Editorial Department and a member of the ISB from 1973 to 1976. Served at the Melbourne Training College followed by Headquarters appointments in both the NZ and Australian Southern Territories.

Lives in retirement at Drouin.
