About / Our Policies / Deductible Gift Recipient Status

The Salvation Army Australia is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) code and has base accreditation with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade.

Gifts over $2 to the International Development work of The Salvation Army are tax-deductible. This website (salvos.org.au/international-development) only receives tax-deductible donations.

Our Self Denial Appeal website (www.selfdenial.info) is able to receive both tax-deductible and non-tax-deductible donations in order to allow for the preference of donors. These options are clearly visible to donors on relevant donation pages to ensure the utmost transparency and accountability.
