Welcome

Gill Waminda Aged Care Centre is an inclusive and supportive aged care centre located just 5 minutes away from the heart of Goulburn. Our Centre is a close-knit community, with lush green surroundings, an award-winning architectural design and comfortable interiors. You're sure to feel at home with our person-centred model of care and qualified and compassionate staff who care for residents like family.

You can enjoy a family atmosphere - many of our staff have had their own family stay at our Centre and many of our staff's family members have also jumped on board to join our team. Our staff have close relationships with families and supporters to ensure that their loved one receives the best care for them.

We recognise the importance of family, friends and supporters, and encourage them to be an active part of our community. A dedicated family area provides a space to spend quality time and celebrate special occasions.

We have strong ties and work closely with the local community, and over time have built a reputation as an organisation that genuinely cares for others in need without discrimination, regardless of their personal circumstances.

Our Services

At Gill Waminda Aged Care Centre, we offer 24-hour permanent residential care including dementia care and palliative care; and respite (short-term) care.

You will be in good hands with our friendly, compassionate and qualified team of staff, who will go beyond the clinical to care for your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Supporting you to live your best life in this new stage of life is our goal.

24-hour care from our dedicated and professional staff

Each staff member has undergone reference and security checks to ensure they are fully qualified, experienced and are passionate about working in the aged care sector. Our staff undergo ongoing training to ensure they are up to speed with the latest processes and knowledge. Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diversity are other key factors that we take into consideration when recruiting staff into our Centre community.

Specialised dementia care

Our approach to dementia care is led by each person's interests, feelings and emotions. We respect the rich lives they have led by tailoring our care based on their personal history in a dedicated dementia-friendly environment.

Environment can have a big impact on quality of life. Our Dorset Wing is specifically designed to meet the needs of residents with higher-level behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.

Spiritual and chaplaincy services

We have a holistic model of care. The Centre Chaplains play an important role in bringing this to life. We also have a chapel onsite. Whatever your beliefs, our Chaplains are here to assist in your spiritual and emotional journey, if you wish - because we don't have clients, only family.
