Elizabeth Jenkins Place Aged Care Centre offers a supportive lifestyle in a comfortable and spacious home. Designed by industry experts, our home embraces a home-like and community setting with the most up-to-date design principles in aged care.
There are seven separate and interconnected houses, each containing a kitchen, dining room and lounge room. Each house is accessible via the main streetscape, adding to the home atmosphere. Beautiful landscaped gardens throughout our Centre are lovingly maintained by our onsite team. All rooms have large windows with garden or ocean views and plenty of natural light.
Centrally located, our Centre has links to public transport networks, local shops and services, Collaroy Beach and Fishermans beach.
We recognise the importance of family and friends and encourage them to be a part of our community.
At Elizabeth Jenkins Place, we offer 24-hour permanent residential care including dementia care and palliative care; and respite (short-term) care.
You can trust that you will be in good hands with our care team of compassionate, fully qualified and committed individuals who share The Salvation Army's values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity and collaboration. You're sure to feel right at home.
24-hour care from our dedicated and professional staff
Each staff member has undergone reference and security checks to ensure they are fully qualified, experienced and are passionate about working in the aged care sector. Our staff undergo ongoing training to ensure they are up to speed with the latest processes and knowledge. Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diversity are other key factors that we take into consideration when recruiting staff.
Specialised Dementia Care
Our approach to dementia care is led by each person's interests, feelings and emotions. We respect the rich lives they have led by tailoring our care on their personal history in a dedicated dementia-friendly environment.
Environment can have a big impact on the quality of life. The Long Reef wing is specifically designed to meet the needs of residents with higher-level behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
Tasty and nutritious meals
Meals are cooked daily onsite by a qualified chef in consultation with the dietitian. The menu is rotated regularly to promote choice and take advantage of what is in season. Each meal has a selection of high protein, vegetarian and modified options. We also cater for special dietary and cultural requirements.
Homely, fully-furnished rooms
We have a variety of room options to suit different mobility levels, health requirements and tastes.
We have both single rooms and interconnected rooms, and each room has:

The dementia wing has its own activity calendar that can be group-based or one-on-one with staff, depending on a resident's needs and preferences.
Visiting health specialists
Scheduled visits from the local GP and other Allied Health services as needed, including podiatrist, speech therapist, occupational therapist and dentist.
Daily physiotherapy is available for permanent residents.
Spiritual and chaplaincy services
We have a holistic model of care. The Centre Chaplains play an important role in bringing this to life. We also have our own Chapel on site. Whatever your beliefs, our Chaplains are here to assist in your spiritual and emotional journey, if you wish - because we don't have clients, only family.
