Chaplains are often described as being on the ‘frontline’ of The Salvation Army’s work by providing practical, emotional and spiritual support to people facing a crisis, coping with trauma or with a need for a listening ear. Our chaplains are dedicated to bringing hope to people in these challenging situations.

They are skilled listeners who respect those they speak to and display the highest level of professional confidentiality. This includes one on one conversations, spiritual guidance, prayer, worship, education, advocacy, Christian ceremonies, and more.
