Leaders at Balga Corps

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.  My name is Megan, and my husband’s name is Darren, and we are the Spiritual leaders, called by God to serve Him here at the Balga Salvation Army Church.  We are blessed by God with three wonderful children – Elisha, Brianna and Ethan – who continually partner with us in ministry, helping all to encounter Jesus.

Throughout our faith journey with Jesus Christ Darren and I heard the call of God to serve Him full time as Ministers in The Salvation Army.  We have been led to serve God in Tasmania and Western Victoria and now to serve Him faithfully in Western Australia.  We are excited to be at Balga Salvation Army Church and involved in the family community that is Balga.

Darren and I have a passion for seeing people’s lives taken from a place of despair, fear, darkness and hopelessness through the power of Jesus to a place of freedom, hope, joy, peace and light.

We warmly invite you to come and share with us here at Balga Salvation Army, we would love to get to know you and have a coffee and chat with you at our Café.

Much love,
Darren and Megan Aitken

Sunday Worship

As a faith community we continue to ask the question “Who is Jesus?” and explore more of who Jesus is and all that He has for us through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Each Sunday there are two worship services - 9.30 am and 6 pm.  Both services allow people the freedom to worship and connect with God through music, sharing, hearing from the children and God’s word.

Throughout both services, time is made available for people to respond to the Holy Spirit’s leading in their lives.  Prayers for healing, thanksgiving, forgiveness, freedom, transformation and praise are made available to all who desire it.

God is doing amazing things in His community of Balga, and we look forward to journeying together to see lives transformed through His love, forgiveness and grace.
