It is a pleasure to introduce you to The Salvation Army Balga Corps. Within our church, we work alongside others to make a difference. Wherever there are injustices and hardship, we endeavour to bring the love of Jesus to transform our community, one life at a time. We regularly witness the love of Jesus changing lives— from one of despair — to hope and a purpose. As a church, we meet together weekly to celebrate this. We understand you might be finding it tough on your own and we want to come alongside you on your journey and help. We offer a place and a community where you can belong and make a difference. We hope you’ll join us.
"Wherever there is hardship or injustice Salvos will live, love and fight alongside others to transform Australia one life at a time with the love of Jesus."
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus by:
Recognising that God is already at work in the world, we value:
In our worship service, we explore who Jesus is and all that He has for us through the power of the Holy Spirit. Each Sunday there are two worship services - 9.30am and 6pm. Both services allow people the freedom to worship and connect with God through music, sharing and hearing from God’s word. Time is also available for people to respond to the Holy Spirit’s leading in their lives. God desires all to have healing, freedom, transformation, and forgiveness and we give Him thanks and praise.
God is doing amazing things in His community of Balga, and we look forward to journeying together to see lives transformed through His love, forgiveness and grace.
Sunday 9:30am and 6pm
Due to the recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Western Australia we are pleased to share that a number of our ministry programs have recommenced.
This includes Sunday morning and evening worship, Community Band, Just Brass, Intermediate Brass Band, the Café, Bible study groups and Sing and Grow.
At the beginning of Term 3 our ministry programs that are planning to recommencing include Sunday School, mainly music and the Quilting Group.
Our Early Learning Centre, Child Health Centre, Doorways and Homelessness ministries continue to remain operating with all our Balga Salvation Army staff and community committed to creating a safe space as much as possible.
The Balga Salvation Army family are ‘stronger together’ so we are praying as a Church community and believing that God’s love may be encountered powerfully in these days and that His Spirit will bring light into the darkness.
