Family Accommodation Program

Family Accommodation Program

The Family Accommodation Program provides transitional accommodation and support to families living within our community who are experiencing, or at imminent risk of, homelessness.

The program can support up to 10 families at any one time and works in partnership with Salvation Army Housing to provide affordable, safe and stable accommodation in Balga and surrounding suburbs for up to 24 months.

Families within the program are provided with intensive case management and support to identify any needs and risks which may have contributed to their homelessness experience. There is a focus on education, training and employment support to assist families to gain financial independence. Support is also provided to increase independent living skills to aid in breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Eligible families will need to have children under 16 years of age in their care and be eligible for the public housing waitlist.
