Dear Friends,

Today it has been announced by the Salvation Army that Lt. Sarah will be concluding as a corps officer at Parramatta in January 2025. She will be taking up a new appointment as the Youth and Young Adult Secretary for the NSW/ACT Division, effective 8 January.

This is extremely sad for us at Parramatta, but we are excited for Sarah and for the youth and young adults in this division as she leads them in the coming days.

There will not be another officer appointed to Parramatta at this time, instead we will be employing a ministry team member to lead alongside me going into the future. More information about this position will become available in due course.

We understand that this will be a surprise to many and will be a significant time of transition for Parramatta, but we believe that God continues to go before us and continues to have great plans for Parramatta Corps.

Personally, I want to express my gratitude to Sarah as we have worked alongside each other for these past four years. She has led and invested into Parramatta with passion and energy, and she will be greatly missed, not just by me but by others.

Sarah is still away but will be returning to the office on Monday 2 December.
