If you are experiencing hardship or are facing a crisis, contact us to find out how we can support you. We believe in good for you and want to see you get back on your feet.
Depending on your situation, and what we have available, we may be able to provide you with vouchers for food, fuel or electricity. We can also help with referrals to other support services including case management support, financial support, or employment services.
Are you in financial crisis and require financial or material assistance?
Please call us on 02 8775 7988 — Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm. Your needs will be assessed, and you'll be connected to the nearest Salvation Army centre.
If you have been directed to get your assistance from our Parramatta site, we are open Monday and Friday, 9.30am to 1pm.
Inside Market Day at The Salvation Army Parramatta
Every week, a dedicated team of volunteers comes together to serve their community at the Parramatta Salvos Market Day.
Salvos Connect and Cafe
Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 1pm
Level 1/426 Church Street, North Parramatta
Our cafe space is open to the public every weekday for a drink, a snack and to spend time connecting with others.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays our volunteer baristas are onsite making free coffee.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you’re welcome to make yourself a tea or coffee.
Come along for a cup of coffee.
Community Market Days
Wednesdays, 9.45am–11.30am
Community Market Day is for people experiencing financial hardship.
To be eligible for Market Days, community members must:
- Live in the Parramatta area
- Receive eligible Centrelink payments
- Provide a recent Centrelink income statement
The Market Day provides basic groceries like bread, fruit and vegetables, canned goods and other pantry staples.
Moneycare Financial Counselling
The Salvation Army’s free financial counselling service, Moneycare, is here to help you feel in control of your finances.
We can work with you to manage your debt, develop new strategies or you may like to explore our free eBook. We can also point you in the right direction for a No Interest Loan.
We have Moneycare Financial Counselers on-site with us in Parramatta. They can provide personalised advice on how to get through your money problems, and avoid trouble in the future. Importantly, our service is free and confidential.

Employment Plus Parent Pathways
Parent Pathways offers free personalised support to eligible parents and carers of children up to 6 years of age.
We understand that every family is different, and every journey is unique. That’s why we take a tailored approach, working alongside you to provide support that matches your needs. With the help of a qualified mentor, you can receive flexible support to assist with any personal, study or work goals.
