The Salvation Army was created to be an Army focused upon Salvation. Our formation was motivated by a concern for the lost. Our Army founders have given us unchanging principals and variable strategies.

In 1979 Prospect Corps relocated to Ingle Farm because of the concern for those yet to find God. By moving to the then "city outskirts", we better placed ourselves in the community and thus The Salvation Army Ingle Farm ministered to the marginalised.

Since that time we have continued to be involved in cutting edge ministries with many of our Corps and Community Services programs having been considered leaders in their field. Our willingness to change, adapt and try new things continues to shape who we are today.

Our extensive community services programs touches the life of both the young and the old combined with a vibrant Corps (Church) program that seeks to make the gospel relevant, encourages discipleship, ministry and evangelism are all signs of a centre committed to its purpose: "Through Jesus Transforming Lives".
