As people of God, we recognise that Church is not a building, it's the people. People matter, you matter!
With this in mind and in light of the Prime Ministers announcement regarding gatherings over 100 people, the decision has been made that we will move our Sunday church, youth and children gatherings to an online platform for the next three weeks. In no way is our Church retreating or closing its doors, we are simply going to be engaging in worship in a different way while we navigate the way forward. Now more than ever, we are called to be the Church within our community.
Our heart is for this community and we endeavior to do all we can to help minismise the risk and spread of COVID-19. Our weekly programs will not be held for the next three weeks. We will update you with an annoucement soon on what these programs will look like in the coming months.
Our building will continue to open each day and we will still be serving our community and those who are vulerable; through Doorways, Emergency Relief, Parents Next and Youth Homelessnes services.
We encourage all who attend and participate in the gatherings throughout the week to continue to connect with one another via text, phone call, email, small groups and social media. While we are practicing social distancing, we don't want to live in isolation. Please continue to check in on one another, on neighbours, on family members and friends. We are better together.
To join in on our Sunday Service, a link will be available from 6am Sunday for you to watch and participate in worship at a time that works for you. We encourage you to gather in your own home, with your family, or a small group. This link will be posted online and also emailed out for people to access. If you need help during this time, please let us know and we will do our best to assist.
Let's continue to pray for our Church, our community, our Nation and our world.
Jacqueline, Matt and Nathan.
