Primary colours
These colours are the colours of our uniform and the Red Shield logo— already strongly associated with The Salvation Army in Australia. Major competitors use red and white (like Red Cross, and formerly Mission Australia).
The contrast between these three colours allows our uniqueness to shine, evoking trustworthiness, tradition, the Australian flag, the sky and the sea.
Navy can be a little too staid for some tastes, so our secondary colour range adds dynamism with shades of cobalt, marine blue, teal and ‘seafoam’. Bringing these together makes the Red Shield stand out more vibrantly in our designs.
