Joseph Manase’s Story

Joseph Manase is from the Kesawaka area.  He left school in Grade 4 and got married and was at home.  Joseph wanted to become a church Pastor but because he had not reached the required grade was unable to.  Joseph was encouraged by Salvos Coffee workers to return to school. When the Salvos Coffee field officers went to his village to do training they taught him about going to school and how to save money for school fees.  Joseph has finished Primary school and now is currently in High School completing Grade 9. His wife who continues with the program lives in the village and sends money to Joseph so he can finish school. Josephs children are also now attending school.
