Disability and all abilities

We are committed to improving access and inclusion for people with disability —where people with disability are valued, respected and empowered to thrive.

We are dedicated to removing barriers

We are dedicated to removing barriers – physical, digital, cultural, and systemic that can limit full participation.  Our approach focuses on inclusive design, equitable access to opportunities, and the provision for reasonable adjustments that enable individuals to perform at their best.

Strengthening capability and confidence

The Salvation Army is a member of the Australian Disability Network.   We participate in initiatives such as Employing 100, a program designed to:

  • Strengthen disability confidence among leaders and recruiters
  • Employ people with disability into meaningful roles
  • Remove recruitment barriers
  • Review dignified access
  • Build sustainable inclusive practices
