CitySalvos Cafe

Our café has operated in different formats over the past decade but relaunched in its current format in February 2022.

While most of the customers are Doorways clients (awaiting morning appointments or seeking assistance), the café is open to anyone, Monday - Friday 9.00-11.00am. Apart from a barista, the café is staffed by volunteers from our church community.

The café seeks to be a welcoming place that offers both a nice cup of tea or coffee in the morning, as well as a smile and someone to talk to. We often have music playing and flowers on the tables, and some light reading material on tables promoting the work of The Salvation Army.

The café also opens on Sundays before our church service for those arriving for church.
