Major Mal Davies, and his wife Tracey, are the Corps Officers at CitySalvos. They began in this role in February 2023.

Mal has worked for The Salvation Army for fifteen years in social and community programs before entering full-time ministry in 2004. He has served in Victoria and South Asustralia as well as three years in London.

When asked why he does what he does Mal said "Romans 10:13 says, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'. I want people to know Jesus. That's what motivates me each day".

Major Tracey Davies, along with her husband Mal, are the Corps Officers at CitySalvos since February 2023.

Tracey has been an officer for almost 20 years and has had the privilege of supporting those within coprs communities, leading and developing teams within children's ministries across the territory, and has recently returned from an overseas appointment in the UK, where she taught and supported officers in their leadership and spiritual development.

When asked why she does what she does Tracey said " I have experienced transformation in my own life from connecting closely with God and so I want to do all I can to create spaces and relationships for people across the generations to connect deeper with God and be transformed too".

Jacqui Heaton is our Children's and Family Ministry Assistant and has been with us since July 2019

Jacqui's love for Jesus is infectious and she has a desire to see kids and families flourish.

When asked why she does what she does Jacqui said "I do it because I love Jesus and I love sharing about Jesus with kids."

Sharon Brinkley helps with finance and building maintenance and is the newest member of our amazing team. She has been in this role since April 2021.

Sharon is kind and compassionate with an unselfish love for others.

When asked why she does what she does Sharon said "CitySalvos is my home, having been here nearly my whole life. I love both the people who worship here, and those who come for community and assistance. It's been a big part of my life and it's a privilege to be able to contribute in some way to growing and sustaining CitySalvos church."

Leeanne Kingsman is our Candidate Helper and started with us January 2021. 

She is full of joy and the love of Jesus!

When asked why she does what she does Leeanne said "I do it because God has called me to share the love of Jesus and to journey with those around me to build on their relationship with Christ."

Tina Kordahi is our Administration coordinator and Ministry Assistant. Tina has been with us since October 2016.

Tina is passionate about the local church and uses her many and varied skills to equip those around her to be effective in ministry. 

When asked why she does what she does Tina said "I do what I do because I see it as vitally important in the running of CitySalvos. I love that I can practically support and release the Corps Officers as well as the rest of the team as they minister to the Corps."

Ali Halls works as our Do Unto Other's (DUO's) Coordinator.

Ali is energetic and loves to emower others to be all that God created them to be.

When asked why she does what she does Ali said "I love working for The Salvation Army because I am able to be a source of compassion, encouragement and hope to those who need it most."

Cornel Alderson is the newest member of our staff team and commenced as our barista in May 2023.

Cornel is a 'people person' who likes talking and laughing as well as being an experienced barista.

He is a caring person and says that the caring, dedicated approach of The Salvation Army is the perfect workplace for him.
