THE LISTENING PROJECT 2025

MORE Ministries

Overview

The Listening Project is the formal process of lived experience research for the Youth & Young Adults Ministry team. The Listening Project aims to hear and empower the voices of young people. To do this, we consider young people’s lived experience for all our resources, including PLP, Life Labs, and Valere.

The Listening Project is ongoing and has included three research studies:

2025 Planned Research

This year, we aim to research how young people are connected to Salvation Army faith communities. We are interested in hearing about how we engage with young people apart from programmed youth ministry, to help us better understand what helps and hinders young people feeling connected to the entire faith community.

The research involves an interview/focus group with our team, where we'll ask you about your faith community's experiences of intergenerational connection, and ask you to reflect on the role of young people in the congregation. It would be approximately 1 hour, over Teams.

If you are interested, please provide your details below, and a member of our team will contact you to arrange a time to talk.
