Youth and Young Adults

Youth and young adults

We recognise we need more leaders, more ministries and more young people.

We are seeing young people's lives transformed

Across across Australia — through our youth and young adult ministries — we pray we will see more leaders, ministries, and young people transformed by the love of Jesus — more than ever!

We are cheering you on, will walk alongside you, and support you as we serve young people across Australia.

Events

Summer parties

Summer parties

Launch events early in the year

We want to build excitement and momentum for the upcoming year. They aim to benefit youth ministries, allowing young people and youth leaders to grow their connections with one another. Our aim is to create an environment that youth and young adults want to attend and invite their friends to, perhaps for the first time.

Our events model is best practice, high-quality and first-class in their application. During these events, young people can hear the Good News about Jesus and experience family and faith in a fun atmosphere.

These events help build momentum for youth ministries and upcoming events later in the year.

Youth camps

Youth camps

Building momentum in each state

Encounter Jesus, make new friends and worship God in a tailored and safe environment. We pray that young people will leave these camps knowing they are loved, important, and that they belong.

These events are integral to developing young people and leaders, and aim to strengthen youth ministries by building on the skills and experience of our leaders.

We invest in younger youth leaders to allow them to better invest in the young people they lead. Encounter a variety of individuals with various skillsets and experience. We want to embrace everyone and work as a team to serve young people across Australia better.

Annual professional development conference

For Salvation Army employees, volunteers and officers working in youth ministry, with the aim to develop attendees knowledge and skill base to equip them to better minister to young people.

They are exposed to leading practitioners and thinkers, presenting on relevant issues facing youth and those working in the youth space, providing information and practical tools to approach ministry. It is a networking opportunity for youth ministry workers to connect with other employees and volunteers around Australia, share stories and provide encouragement.

Further details will be available soon.
