The Salvation Army offers a network of Christian chaplains to support you in your situation.

Salvation Army chaplains are committed to meeting people right at their point of need, and to providing material, physical, religious and spiritual support as required.

Salvation Army chaplains are skilled and caring listeners and the highest level of professional confidentiality can be expected when you speak to a chaplain.

The Role of the Chaplain is quite broad and varied, with it’s emphasis on offering practical. emotional and spiritual support, and may include

  • Pastoral Care
  • Advocacy
  • Pastoral counselling
  • Companionship
  • Spiritual guidance
  • Debriefing
  • Education
  • Prayer

Spirituality, faith and religion can be confusing at times. At your invitation, Chaplains can assist you in the journey of exploring beliefs about God, faith and spirituality. Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual support in environments where we know that sometimes life can be challenging and can also provide links to local churches and the programs that they run.
