Council welcome 'livestreamed'

Foor the night owls and Salvationists keen on tuning in to the welcome meeting in the Central Hall Westminster, London, for the 2023 High Council, the event is to be "livestreamed" on in the wee small hours of Sunday morning, Brisbane time.

KIt is to be avaiilable to view on The Salvation Army's International Headquarters' website or on facebook.

The meeting is to begin with pre-meeting music at 3.30pm London time (which is 12.30am Brisbane time). Central Hall Westminster is opposite the iconic Westminster Abbey in central London.

The Army's leader of the Australia Territory, Commissioner Miriam Gluyas (inset left in image) is to be part of the High Council. Immediate past Australia Territory Leaders, commissiners Robert and Janine Donaldson (inset right in image) also are to be part of the HC.

Every member of the High Council can nominate someone as a candidate for General and any active officer within The Salvation Army officer can be nominated.

Any officer who receives three or more nominations can choose to become a candidate.
