Post grants $500 for TESOL

1 June 2019

The Salvation Army Stafford is looking at the probability of starting Teaching English as a Second Language classes - most likely sometime in the second half of this year.

As part of the "looking into it" process, we applied for a 2019 Australia Post Workforce Community Grant of $500 and were successful.

The grants are given to community programs that Australia Post staff are involved in or passionate about. One of our soldiers is a motorcycle postman and he nominated the TESOL classes for the grant.

We are excited about the grant that is to be used for promoting the program and the supply of refreshments for participants.

There are still a few steps to take before the grant is finalised but that is expected to be done by June 7.
