We again hit the bulls-eye with our high-calibre palsNpistols event tonight.

Seven sharp shooters lined up to take part in the pistol shooting event hosted by the Pine Rivers Pistol Shooting Club at its facilities at Belmont.

Our firing squad enjoyed the sausage sizzle provided at the beginning of the evening before the safety briefing and firearms refresher.

The club had more shooters overall than expected but managed to get us all through our ammo packs in smart time and we were home more than an hour earlier than we have been in other years.

Thanks to the PRSC for their excellent evening - so well run. We are on target to do it again next year so keep probably May 21 or 28 free in your calendars next year.

Thanks to Scott and John for being the gun "chaffeuring" for the night. Top calibre. The next event is our annual State of Origin night. It's Sunday, June 23, from 8pm.

For a gold coin donation, at least, there'll be footy food to be chowed down on while we watch the big game on the big screen in the Solid Rock cafe area of our church.
