"It's a great honour to have the Salvos recognised amongst Melbourne's Emergency Workers in this year’s Moomba” said Major Nottle, “Our work in times of disaster is well known, but we also work with all of the services everyday around the city in the form of our outreach van for the homeless, our transit teams and youth bus and the nightly street teams."

"We commend the generous gesture by the Lord Mayor to acknowledge the daily work of volunteers and workers in the emergency sector. Moomba reflects the heart of Melbourne and is about embracing all facets of society from the wealthiest to the most vulnerable."

"Being crowned one of the monarchs is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to promote the work of The Salvation Army here in Melbourne and our continued support of Emergency Services."
