Welcome to Nambucca River Church (known locally as NRC Salvos) – a vibrant, faith-filled community committed to sharing hope, love, and compassion with everyone we meet. We are a Jesus-centred, Spirit-led community where a deep and genuine love for God is expressed through our worship and relationships. Our vision is to see God’s hope come alive in all people’s lives.
We gather every Sunday at 9:30am to worship together and build community. Our activities foster connection and friendship as we share Jesus’ love by caring for people, nurturing faith, building healthy communities, and seeking justice. Our goal is to create a welcoming and safe space where everyone feels valued and connected.
NRC Salvos is more than a place of worship – it is a community and church family. Being part of our local community is important to us. Through our programs and events, we offer practical support and connection to individuals and families across the Nambucca Valley.

Meet our church family
Our church is led by a local leadership team and supported by a pastoral care team and a ministry team serving across preaching, teaching, worship, kids and youth, discipleship, and community outreach.

At NRC Salvos, you’ll find a welcoming church to grow in faith, build meaningful friendships, serve others, and feel part of a genuine and supportive community. Everyone is warmly welcome to join us.
During the service, we offer a Kids Church program for children. Our gatherings are joyful and relaxed, reminding us of God’s love and commitment to us – a time where we worship together through music, prayer, and Bible teaching.
After our Sunday morning service, we love connecting over a barista-made coffee to share a laugh and get to know one another a little better.

Our church loves serving the community, building connections and creating spaces where people feel seen and valued.
You’ll often spot us in our recognisable coffee van at local events, community gatherings, schools, and outreach activities across the valley. If you see us around, come grab a coffee, and have a chat – we'd love to meet you.

Kids in the Kitchen
Building confident kids
During various school terms, primary school-aged children can join this hands-on cooking group to develop valuable life skills – such as healthy eating and diet, numeracy and literacy and building connections with others.
This is typically a 5-week program delivered by our NRC Salvos volunteers, who are committed to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children who participate in the program.
